Mrs Doubtfire Tickets - Shaftesbury Theatre

The West End's favourite Nanny is set to finally bid farewell London audiences as the joyous comedy musical MRS. DOUBTFIRE will close on April 26th, 2025 at the Shaftesbury Theatre.  Make sure you don't miss the opportunity to see the West End's most heart-warming show!

Mrs. Doubtfire is the heart-warming story of out-of-work actor Daniel who will do anything for his kids. After a messy divorce and losing custody, in an attempt to stay in their lives, he creates an alter ego in the form of a Scottish nanny - 'Euphegenia Doubtfire'. As his flamboyant and charismatic new character takes on a life of its own, Mrs. Doubtfire begins to teach Daniel a lot more than he bargained for about what it means to be a father.

The MRS. DOUBTFIRE musical has been brought to the stage by a talented transatlantic team, with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell. The original music and lyrics in the show are from Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick, direction by 4-time Tony winner Jerry Zaks, scenic design by David Korins, choreography by Lorin Latarro, and music supervision by Ethan Popp.

MRS DOUBTFIRE is a both heartfelt and hilarious story about holding onto your loved ones against all the odds.

Are There Any Age Restrictions When Booking Tickets To Mrs. Doubtfire

The show does include some very mild adult themes and language however there is no official age restriction. The recommended minimum age to watch Mrs. Doubtfire is 7 years and patrons should be advised that children aged 3 years and under will not be admitted to the theatre.

Can I Book Discount Tickets For Mrs. Doubtfire?

During the quiet and off-peak weeks such as November, January, and February and the weeks that follow from half term and school holidays there is usually a downward movement in West End prices and discount Mrs. Doubtfire tickets can be sourced depending on market forces. It is advisable to always check both the website regularly for online promotions, discount tickets and also the seating plan of the theatre for full transparency before booking but with very few restricted view seats in the Shaftesbury Theatre, there is often good value to be found.

Should I Avoid Upper Circle Tickets To Mrs. Doubtfire?

The tickets in the upper circle to Mrs. Doubtfire do come in several different price ranges and there is very little restricted view seating but they are situated on the second floor and certainly during quiet periods and for midweek performances there seems to be better value at the rear of the stalls rather than the front and sides of the upper circle. If you are booking during peak periods and at weekends though then studying the seating plan and looking for value can bring big savings in the upper circle so they should not be dismissed without inspection.

Where Is The Best Section Of The Theatre To Book Mrs. DoubtfireTickets?

This will depend heavily on your budget. There are three tiers of seating in the Shaftesbury Theatre and many different pricing bands with the most expensive unsurprisingly being the front and centre seats in both the stalls and dress circle. The stalls section on the ground floor features four separate price bands for tickets to Mrs. Doubtfire but very few seats with a restricted view so there is value to be had for midweek and off-peak performances in the cheaper seats. There are also different price bands in both the dress circle and the upper circle offering good choices with clear views of the stage that should suit most budgets.

Why Is There A Booking Fee Added To My Tickets To Mrs. Doubtfire?

If you are looking to book Mrs. Doubtfire tickets online through a third-party website during busy periods such as school holidays and weekends then there is a good chance that there will be a booking fee attached as the producers of the show will be looking to secure as much revenue as possible and will therefore be charging all ticket agents the full face value of the tickets. This means that online ticket agents are forced to charge a booking fee to make a profit. During quieter periods, however, producers will sometimes sell tickets to agents at a discounted rate which enables them to retail these tickets to those performances at a discount to the consumer.

The Shaftesbury Theatre is a medium size West End theatre with a capacity of 1408 seats. The front section of the Stalls has a corridor through the middle splitting it into two sections, with further two aisles splitting the rear Stalls into a further three. Both the Royal and Grand Circles feature some seats which have some minor restrictions to the view causing the back of the stage to be slightly obscured so studying the seating plan before purchase is recommended.

Premium seats in the theatre are located in the middle of rows D-H in the centre of the Stalls which offers the best overall experience giving you a clear view of the entire stage. The centre of rows A-D of the Royal Circle also offers great views for patrons who prefer to view the stage from an elevated position

There is good lastminute value to be found in some sections of the rear of the Royal Circle, which despite being a fair distance from the stage still offers a clear view and bargain hunters looking for cheap Mrs. Doubtfire tickets can also find value in the clear view seats 14-24 in the Grand Circle on the third level which are often reduced but may not suit people suffering from vertigo.
